Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international – can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The exam is conducted in four phases – February, May, September and December. Qualifying candidates are eligible for admissions to 800+ B-schools accepting MAT scores.

Eligibility for MAT
The candidate must satisfy the below specified criteria:
1. Hold a bachelor’s degree, with no less than 50% or equal CGPA (45% for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD)/Differently Able (DA) classification)
2. Competitors appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and the individuals who have finished degree prerequisites and are anticipating results can likewise apply. If selected, such applicants will be permitted to join the program temporarily, only if they present a certificate most recent by June 30, 2020, from the principal/registrar of their college/institute (issued at the latest June 30, 2020) expressing that the competitor has finished every one of the prerequisites for acquiring four-year or three-year college education/identical capability on the date of the issue of the certificate.

MAT exam includes four stages ─ filling MAT application form, issue of MAT admit card, MAT exam and declaration of MAT result. Candidates who qualify MAT 2021, can apply for admission to any of the MAT accepting colleges of their choice. Each stage of MAT process is briefly explained below:
Step 1: MAT 2021 Application Process
The MAT application form filling is an online process. Candidates can fill the MAT 2021 application form of preferred exam phase on AIMA MAT website by paying exam fees of Rs 1,650. The MAT application process is same for all the three exam modes – PBT, CBT and IBT.
Step 2: MAT 2021 Admit Card
MAT admit card is issued to the registered candidates online on the official website. In order to download the hall ticket, candidates need to key in registration number and date of birth on the login page of AIMA-MAT website.
Step 3: MAT 2021 Exam
MAT 2021 exam is being conducted in IBT, PBT and CBT modes in multiple phases throughout the year. The PBT and CBT mode exams are conducted across various test centres in India. The IBT mode exam is remote proctored and can be taken from home.
Step 4: MAT 2021 Result
MAT result for each phase is released on the official website. Candidates can check their scorecard and download MAT 2021 Result by using MAT admit card number, registration number and date of birth.
